About Dr. Aina
A clinical perspective most psychiatrists simply don't have.
Dr. Oluyemi Aina is a board-certified psychiatrist and sleep medicine physician with a rare breadth of training across psychiatry, general medicine, and sleep disorders. He is known for combining expert psychiatric diagnosis and psychopharmacology with a broader understanding of the neurological, sleep-related, and lifestyle factors that influence mental health.
At Tri-MED, patients seek Dr. Aina not only for his whole-person perspective, but also for his skill in managing complex psychiatric illness with clinical precision. His approach integrates sound medication management, interventional psychiatry, and deeper root-cause exploration for patients who want more than routine, symptom-focused care.
He completed a combined Family Medicine and Psychiatry residency at the University of Cincinnati, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. In 2007, he became the first physician in the United States to achieve board certification in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
Patients often come to Dr. Aina seeking a more thorough evaluation when standard treatment has not gone far enough. His work is grounded in clinical depth, careful listening, and a commitment to helping patients move toward greater clarity, stability, and hope.
