New patients: you will receive portal registration instructions by email after your first appointment is scheduled.

Insurance We Accept

Most major plans accepted.

Tri-MED Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine services are covered by most major insurance plans. Please contact our office to verify your specific benefits before your first appointment.
Please note: Insurance coverage varies by plan, service, and location. We recommend calling our office before your appointment to confirm your specific benefits. TMS and Spravato may require prior authorization. Holistic MD Clinic programs are self-pay and not billed to insurance.
Frequently Asked Questions

Answers before you ask.

The questions we hear most often from new patients — answered clearly.
Your first psychiatric evaluation is 60 minutes. This is significantly longer than a standard psychiatric visit because we review your full history — not just the presenting concern. Sleep medicine evaluations are also 60 minutes.
We accept most major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Humana, Medicare, Tricare, and most PPO plans. Coverage varies by service. Please call our office before your appointment to verify your specific benefits.
Tri-MED Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine accepts insurance and provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, TMS, Spravato, and sleep medicine. The Holistic MD Clinic is a separate self-pay program offering integrative and functional medicine — including deeper diagnostic investigation, genomic testing, neurofeedback, and precision treatment programs for patients who want more than standard care provides.
Yes. We offer secure telehealth visits for new patient evaluations, medication management follow-ups, and sleep medicine consultations. Some services, including in-office TMS and Spravato, require in-person visits. See the Telehealth section below for setup instructions.
In most cases, no referral is required. However, some insurance plans require a referral for specialist visits. Please check with your insurance plan before scheduling if you are unsure.
Please bring a list of all current medications and dosages, any prior psychiatric or medical records you have access to, your insurance card and photo ID, and your completed intake forms if not already submitted online. Arriving 10 minutes early is recommended.
Refill requests can be submitted through the patient portal or by calling our office. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for processing. Controlled substances cannot be refilled without a current appointment.
We ask that cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. If you need to reschedule, please call our office as early as possible so we can offer your appointment time to another patient.
What to Expect at Your First Visit

A different kind of first appointment.

A first visit at Tri-MED is not a 15-minute intake. It is a thorough, unhurried evaluation designed to give your provider the full picture before making any recommendations.

Check-In & Paperwork Review

Arrive 10 minutes early. Our team reviews your completed intake forms so your provider arrives prepared.

Extended Clinical Evaluation

60 minutes with your provider covering your full psychiatric, medical, and sleep history — not just the presenting concern.

Medication & Treatment Review

Every prior medication, how it worked, what side effects occurred, and whether pharmacogenomic testing would be helpful.

Your Care Plan

You leave with a clear, written plan. No vague follow-ups. A specific path forward with next steps you understand.

What to bring

Telehealth Instructions

Seeing your provider from anywhere.

Tri-MED offers secure video visits for new evaluations, medication management, and sleep consultations. Here is how to prepare for your telehealth appointment.

Step 01: Confirm your appointment is telehealth

When scheduling, let our team know you prefer a telehealth visit. You will receive a confirmation email with your video link 24 hours before your appointment.

Step 02: Test your technology in advance

You will need a device with a working camera and microphone — a smartphone, tablet, or computer all work. Test your camera and sound before your appointment time.

Step 03: Find a private, quiet space

Choose a location where you feel comfortable speaking openly. Good lighting and a stable internet connection will improve the quality of your visit.

Step 04: Join your appointment on time

Click the link in your confirmation email to join. Log in 5 minutes early. If you experience technical difficulties, call our office and we will assist you.

Telehealth visits are available for most psychiatric and sleep medicine services. TMS, Spravato, and in-office procedures require an in-person visit. Not sure if your appointment qualifies? Call us.
